Our trip back to the USA, or to Paris in the case of some of the faculty members and a few students, went well. We stayed overnight in London because of our flight from Bucharest to London being cancelled and rescheduled a day earlier. We were able to book rooms in a hotel in London, so it was not at all painful weathering the 18-hour layover created by British Airways.
Overall, the Romanian Tour was a tremendous success. It was an amazing educational opportunity for everyone on the trip. The spirit of joy and cooperation that was evident in the band throughout the 2-week journey was a great pleasure to witness. There were some truly memorable musical moments.
